Exhibit B is a photo based publication and exhibition about work and people. This is my latest collaboration with Tyler Kohlhoff and will exhibit at Wieden + Kennedy (Portland) in June 2011. Currently we have created a Kickstarter to generate funding for the build out and installation of the exhibition. Exhibit B, features a number of case studies, the first of which is Rinella Produce, a venerable, family run produce distribution company located in South East Portland. Our focus with this study was on the owner David Rinella, and the pride he takes in employing 65 people in an age where ... (read more)
This week marks the release of a new LP from New York City producer FaltyDL. You Stand Uncertain is the second full length album released on Planet Mu and is packed with a push/pull of mid 90's IDM, House, and Garage stylings. The result is a string of overlapping drums, vocals, and piano stabs sure to get your foot moving.

Sepalcure's new EP on Hot Flush Recordings add's another solid notch to this collaborations discography. Sepalcure is electronic artists Machinedrum and Praveen. Fleur picks up in the same channels Sepalcure's 2010 release Love Pressure, but with a more sensitive quality to the duo's bass worked compostions. The track posted bellow introduces warm acoustic overtones and vocals amongst a chop-clap rhythm, sounding like something related to the recent sounds of Mount Kimbie and James Blake. Check it.
This week London musician, Gold Panda released his first full length debut, Lucky Shiner, on Ghostly International. The album covers the range of Gold Panda's musical framework, from hyped up dance stabs to low light ambient constructions. I've chosen to share the more bass culture side of this effort with the track Vanilla Minus, a minmal techno loop laced with an air filled melody. The track is some what reminiscent of the sounds one will find in latest Fout Tet album, There is Love in You.
The Marble Mix is September's Edition to the PMS Mix Series. It's a live arrangement by Monkeytek composed with a deep collection of 45's and dubplates. The mix transitions from low key dub groves in between sets of minimal 2-step and Garage patterns. Monkeytek is one half of Portland's acclaimed dance night Various, a monthly night devoted to the celebration of bass music featuring rotating guests and collaborators.
